The Australian Trucking Association has today announced the three finalists for the 2013 Craig Roseneder Award.

The Craig Roseneder Award recognises technical and maintenance excellence in the workshop by an individual, and celebrates the professionalism of the men and women who work behind the scenes in the trucking industry’s workshops.

Truck fires are a growing problem for the trucking industry. More truck losses are caused by fire than driver fatigue, according to Australia’s leading truck insurer, National Transport Insurance (NTI).*

At the 2013 PACCAR and Dealer TMC, NTI National Manager Industry Relations Owen Driscoll will share his recommendations on how to minimise the risk of non-impact fires in truck fleets.

The Australian Trucking Association has today announced the winners of the 2013 Cummins South Pacific TMC scholarships.

Each scholarship recipient will receive one full delegate registration to the 2013 PACCAR & Dealer TMC, including attendance at the Castrol Awards Dinner at the Peninsula at Central Pier and the ALLRig Funhouse at the Fox Classic Car Collection, as well as accommodation.

The second part of the Australian Trucking Association’s animated Safety Truck video series has now been released. The video reminds road users not to overtake turning heavy vehicles, as the length of the vehicle means it is legally allowed to cross lanes to navigate a corner.
