The Heavy Vehicle National Law should be changed to improve the Performance Based Standards scheme; some PBS vehicle designs should be available to all operators, the ATA submission on chapter 10 of the HVNL review RIS says.
Chapter 10 of the RIS deals with heavy vehicle design issues.
The ATA made a series of submissions to the NTC in response to the HVNL review RIS. The other submissions are:
- Primary duties and responsibility (chapter 4)
- Regulatory tools (chapter 5)
- Technology and data (chapter 6)
- Access (chapter 9)
- Roadworthiness (chapter 11).
