2011 Australian Trucking Convention media advisory

23 May 2011

2011 Australian Trucking Convention and Trucks on Show exhibition to bring industry leaders to Canberra.

• Convention held at the National Convention Centre, Canberra, from Wednesday 25 May to Saturday 28 May.

• Great opportunity for interviews on trucking, transport and business issues.

• Great opportunity for vision of heavy vehicles, including the ATA’s state of the art safety and careers exhibition trailer, the Road Ahead.

The 2011 Australian Trucking Convention and Trucks on Show exhibition will make its way to Canberra from Wednesday 25 May to Saturday 28 May.

The convention will bring together hundreds of business owners and managers, suppliers, manufacturers and industry representatives in one place, to discuss key industry issues like road safety, regulation, and the environment.

Meanwhile, the Trucks on Show exhibition will feature more than twenty trucks and trailers in a custom-built marquee, the largest piece of infrastructure ever erected at the National Convention Centre.

The exhibition is so big the ATA paid to landscape the rear terrace behind the centre to make more room. This has doubled the potential exhibition area and has created opportunities for future festivals and community events.

Full media facilities are available, including the opportunity to meet with speakers and trucking operators.

The media highlights of the convention are attached for your newsroom diaries.
