COVID-19 Tasmanian border restrictions

The Tasmanian Government has declared a State of Emergency and tough border restrictions are in place to help control the spread of COVID-19. 

 
These restrictions apply to ALL TRAVELLERS entering Tasmania on or after 21 March 2020.
 
ESSENTIAL TRAVELLERS  There are exemptions from some of the restrictions for “Essential Travellers”.
 
ESSENTIAL TRAVELLERS include:

Transport, freight and logistics 

a. Any person who in the carriage of his or her duties is responsible for provision of transport or freight and logistics into, within and out of Tasmania; and 

b. Flight Crew and ship crew, for the limited period of delivery of persons, freight or logistics into, within and out of Tasmania, and for no other purpose.
 
Essential Travellers have different quarantine requirements than Non-Essential travellers arriving in Tasmania. View the Quarantine Conditions for ESSENTIAL TRAVELLERS  
 
ALL TRAVELLERS (including Essential Travellers) arriving in Tasmania on or after 21 March 2020 must complete a Tasmanian Arrivals Form.
 
You can complete the form online or at terminals when you arrive in Tasmania.
2) AT THE TERMINAL ON ARRIVAL IN TASMANIA - You can complete the form when you arrive in Tasmania. Border protection staff will give you a copy of the form to fill in when you arrive. 
 
If you are an Essential Traveller, you tick this on the form, and state the reason you should be considered an Essential Traveller.
