Trucking tech conference live tomorrow

26 July 2021
Close to 400 trucking industry professionals will meet tomorrow as the Australian Trucking Association’s online Technology and Maintenance Conference goes live.

Developed by industry, for industry, TMC Online is a free and interactive event that will feature live, interactive sessions as well as a suite of on-demand content.

“Together with PACCAR and its dealer network, we are extremely excited to launch TMC Online 2021 tomorrow, and are proud to be able to deliver valuable, informative content to industry no matter where they are located around the country,” ATA Chair David Smith said.

“With close to 400 delegates already registered, TMC Online demonstrates the importance of agile events and the benefits of delivering content in a flexible and accessible way,” he said.

Delivering the latest industry updates, insights and guidance from trucking experts across Australia, TMC Online will take a deep dive on the topics that matter most, including:
  • Electric trucks and their place in the future of freight
  • What support is available to gain and retain workshop apprentices
  • Productivity and safety benefits of wider trucks and trailers
  • Never-before-seen data from the ATA’s rigid drawbar converter dolly trial, and
  • Potential changes to vehicle inspections, defects and duties

Mr Smith said that for the first time, the program will feature an energetic and hard-hitting Technical Q&A.

“Building on the success of our previous ‘meet the inspectors’ session, this is an opportunity for delegates to have their say and put their technical questions to the panel,” Mr Smith said.

“Delivering TMC Online will allow us to connect with a much larger and broader audience than ever before and will allow our delegates to view the content whenever it suits them, regardless of the COVID restrictions they face,” Mr Smith said.

TMC Online is free, and I invite all industry members to register and take part,” he said.
