Registrations are now open for Trucking Australia 2018, the Australian Trucking Association’s national event where operators drive the future of the industry.

Trucking Australia 2018 will be held at the National Convention Centre, Canberra, from Wednesday 18 to Friday 20 April 2018.

ATA CEO Ben Maguire said the event would drive the industry’s future, with sessions on how we can use technology to hack driver fatigue, our industry’s future leaders and improving mental health.

“Trucking Australia 2018 will also feature workshops on how to use the master code of practice being developed by the ATA and ALC, and what executive officers need to do to meet the due diligence requirements that will come into force during the year,” Mr Maguire said.

“These workshops are a must attend, particularly if you’re a company director or senior manager, no matter what the size of your business.

“Registered delegates who go to both workshops will receive a certificate signed by the ATA to confirm their attendance.

“Trucking Australia 2018 will also see the welcome return of our industry parliament, where our delegates will be able to reflect on the long term future of the industry – and also on the problems that need to be fixed now.

“Trucking Australia 2018 won’t be all work. When the business sessions are over, our delegates will be able to network and enjoy outstanding social events, including the ATA Auction Dinner, the famous Kenworth Legends Lunch and the ATA Foundation Sponsors Gala Awards Dinner.

“The social events will showcase the new Canberra, because there is more to Canberra than pollies and roundabouts. In fact, Lonely Planet has rated Canberra as the #3 city in the world to visit,” he said.
